Plastic/aluminium water/heating pipe
Product description
The metal tube Hakathen® multilayer was developed to withstand a wide range of temperatures and pressures in hot and cold water systems.
Hakathen® pipes are superior to conventional pipes and are particularly suitable for surface heating and cooling systems, radiator connections and sanitary installations.
The entire HakaGerodur range is backed by decades of experience in plastics
and aluminium processing.
Technical Characteristics
No oxygen diffusion due to the welding of the tip
aluminium layer.
Maximum operating range. 95 °C, max. 10 bar, constant
70 °C for 50 years (DVGW).
Resistance to high temperature and pressure
for all heating and sanitary applications.
PE-RT and PE-Xc do not have corrosion.
No coating due to the surface of the smooth inner tube.
Low noise (soundproofing)
High degree of flexibility
Stability during installation
Significantly lighter than metal pipe, easier to use.
Min. resistance to UV radiation.
Resistant to many chemicals (contact us for details).
Low linear thermal expansion.
The diameter of the pipe and the properties of the material satisfy
the strictest tolerance requirements.

HOW IT'S DONE
A polyethylene main pipe is extruded and a polyethylene pipe is
an adhesive layer applied in a coextrusion process.
An aluminium strip 0,2 to 0,8 mm thick
is formed around the pipe, welded by
its length and calibrated to the inner tube.
Finally another adhesive layer and a polyethylene cover layer
are forced to the surface.
The internal diameter of the finished product
is verified by using a steel ball.
